Material database POLYMAT light

Abstract
POLYMAT light a material database which is independent of any manufacturer and lists data and properties of thermoplastics, thermoplastic elastomers and blends. A total of about 23900 trade products from approximately 186 manufacturers is available. POLYMAT light allows you to perform search inquiries within 42 numerical properties and 16 text fields.

POLYMAT light can be used for the following applications:

• Time-efficient and widely-spread material selection as required by the user
• Use of a cheaper material class offering comparable properties
• Alternate suppliers because of supply shortages
• Comparison of several material options
• Market survey – for example: Which companies are able to deliver PA6 containing 30 % carbon fiber?

Available Languages
German, English

Search
Numerical values as well as text fields may be searched for. For example, the easy-to-use search inquiry system makes it possible to display for example all products which are steam sterilizable; altogether 150 different properties are available for the search. In case there is no exact property profile for the product, the material may also be identified by searching within the 250 different applications which are possible.
